# Native Link Sharing

Opens the phone's share sheet for the page your customer is on.

A Native Link Sharing button opens the phone's own share sheet, with a link to whatever page the customer is currently viewing. From there they can send it to Messages, WhatsApp, email, or anything else they have installed.

It is the phone's real share sheet, not a web approximation — so it already knows the customer's apps and their most-contacted people.

## Add one

On the screen's **Navigation bar** tab, click **+ Add**, then choose **Native Link Sharing**.

| Field                                     | What to enter                                                 |
| ----------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Button Icon**\*                         | Choose a supplied icon or upload a `.png`, `.jpg` or `.jpeg`. |
| **Visibility → User**                     | **All**, logged-in only, or logged-out only.                  |
| **Analytics → Enable Firebase Analytics** | Premium. Records an event on each tap. |

There is no URL to set. The button always shares the page in view, which is what makes it worth putting on a product screen.

Click **Add**, then **Save as draft**.

{% hint style="info" %}
A product screen is where this earns its place. Someone who wants a second opinion before buying will send the link to a friend — and the link they share works in any browser, so the person receiving it does not need your app.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
It shares the page's address, so it only works for pages that are publicly reachable. A link to a cart, an account page or anything behind a login will take the recipient to a sign-in screen.
{% endhint %}

## App version

This button needs a recent app version. If yours predates it, the portal tells you and offers to create a new version — do that, then add the button.
